The Venice spot will seat about 130 and serve the brand’s 12-inch round and airy square “grandma-style” pizzas
Truly Pizza, the Orange County-based chain known for its three-day-fermented dough and thin, blistered-crust pies, will open a third restaurant at 1239 Abbot Kinney Blvd., the franchise announced.
The 4,655-square-foot Venice location will seat about 130 indoors and outdoors and serve the brand’s full menu of 12-inch round and airy square “grandma-style” pizzas ranging from a $19 classic cheese to $30 loaded Suprema topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and roasted peppers.
Other options include starters like garlic pull-apart bread and harissa-honey wings, focaccia sandwiches with mortadella or Calabrian-spiced Italian meats, seasonal salads and house-made soft-serve with toppings such as olive oil and sea salt.
Co-founders Donna Baldwin and John Arena, a Las Vegas hospitality veteran and world-champion pizzaiolo, said the move to Venice was driven by the neighborhood’s mix of locals and visitors.
A fourth location in Laguna Beach is also scheduled to open early next year.
The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.
