Partnership with Skechers will activate nine campuses in Inglewood and Santa Monica.

Hoopbus will bring a week of youth-focused programming to Los Angeles ahead of NBA All-Star Weekend, partnering with Skechers to host events at schools across the region.

The initiative, known as the Show Love Series, will include activations at nine schools in Los Angeles County, with programming centered in Inglewood and Santa Monica. Organizers expect to engage more than 1,400 students through the group’s signature “PE Takeover” program, which blends basketball instruction with lessons in teamwork, discipline, and personal development.

The events will run throughout the week and conclude on Friday, Feb. 13, coinciding with All-Star festivities in the city.

Hoopbus, a global basketball community organization, said the Show Love Series brings together professional players, including NBA and WNBA All-Stars, along with local athletes and mentors, to promote service and community engagement. The PE Takeover sessions are designed to extend learning beyond traditional classroom settings by combining physical activity with character-building exercises.

As part of the partnership, Skechers will provide students with giveaways that include basketball shoes, branded apparel, and other items intended to enhance participation and engagement.

Program organizers said the broader goal is to foster confidence, creativity, and connection among young participants while reinforcing core values such as gratitude, self-discipline, and collaboration.

Through the combined efforts of Hoopbus and its partners, the series is expected to reach more than 1,400 students across Los Angeles during the weeklong effort.
