Kändi Swedish Sweets Plans Second Location on Montana Avenue

Candy shop known for imported Swedish treats and custom bags to open at 1230 Montana Ave., joining existing Studio City store.

Kändi Swedish Sweets, a candy shop specializing in brightly colored imported Swedish confections, is preparing to open a second location in Santa Monica at 1230 Montana Ave., Suite 103.

Teaser paper covering the storefront windows at the address confirms the upcoming store, which will join the existing shop at 12188 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City. The Santa Monica site is listed on the company’s website as “Coming Soon,” with no opening date announced yet.

Kändi offers a range of individually priced Swedish candies — including sour skulls, fruity ovals, gummy hearts and other varieties — sold by weight or in customizable bags. Pre-packed options include sweet, sour, sweet-and-sour and mixed assortments priced from $9.50. The store also provides free shipping on online orders over $60.

The Studio City location operates daily, with hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Montana Avenue space sits in a busy retail corridor known for boutique shops and eateries.
