Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office to provide updates and guidance on tax matters.

Malibu officials are partnering with the Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office to host a town hall for residents affected by recent wildfires, offering guidance on property taxes and recovery resources.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Malibu City Hall. Representatives from the Assessor’s Office will provide information on how wildfire damage may affect property assessments and tax obligations, and will be available to answer questions from the public.

City staff said the event is intended to help fire-impacted homeowners better understand available relief options and the steps involved in property reassessment following a disaster.

The town hall will also be accessible virtually via Zoom and livestreamed on YouTube. Advance registration is required.

Additional information about local recovery efforts can be found at MalibuRebuilds.org.
