Owner Angel Vu described the transition as an emotional but necessary next chapter after more than a year on Main Street, where the shop built strong community ties.

Blow Me Candle Co., a popular Santa Monica shop known for its cheeky handmade soy candles and workshops, is relocating from Main Street to a new studio space and will celebrate its reopening this weekend.

In an Instagram post, owner Angel Vu announced the move from the storefront at 2804 Main St. into a dedicated studio. The business will no longer operate a traditional retail shop but will continue offering in-person candle-making workshops, private events, team-building sessions and other experiences on a more limited basis.

Vu described the transition as an emotional but necessary next chapter after more than a year on Main Street, where the shop built strong community ties through workshops, events and personal customer connections. The company plans to focus on intimate workshops for birthdays and other celebrations, private shopping experiences, collaborations and online sales while staying rooted in Santa Monica.

The store is hosting a reopening celebration April 10-12 at its new location, 1746B Berkeley St. in Santa Monica. Hours during the event are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with a special open candle-making class scheduled for Friday.
