Dragon Alley Coffee Shop Planned for Santa Monica Promenade

The couple behind the project said the café is inspired by warm childhood memories of sharing coffee with family.

A new coffee shop called Dragon Alley Coffee Shop is preparing to open on the Santa Monica Promenade in downtown Santa Monica.

A sign announcing the upcoming café has appeared in front of 312 Santa Monica Blvd., signaling the imminent opening of the business.

The owners describe Dragon Alley as more than just a coffee shop. In a statement on its website, the couple behind the project said the café is inspired by warm childhood memories of sharing coffee with family and a desire to create a welcoming community space.

“Those small moments meant more to me than people realized, and I knew I wanted to create a space that could offer that same comfort to others,” the owner wrote. “Dragon Alley Coffee Shop is more than a café. We are a family, sharing what we love with our community.”

The owners say they hope to bring people together through quality coffee, kindness and a cozy atmosphere on the busy Promenade.

No specific opening date has been announced.
