After four years of financial growth, expanded grants, and increased diversity initiatives, Kruger will leave leadership role at end of June as board launches search for successor.
Judy Kruger, President and CEO of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, announced last week that she will step down from her position at the end of June 2026 after a four-year tenure marked by significant organizational growth.
During her time leading the Chamber, Kruger oversaw exponential financial growth, expanded grant activity and launched a business workshop series focused on economic recovery. She also prioritized diversity in the Chamber’s culture and programming while substantially increasing networking opportunities and membership services.
Paula Larmore, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, expressed gratitude for Kruger’s vision and strategic leadership.
“The Board is deeply appreciative of Judy’s many contributions,” Larmore said. The board has formed a search committee to recruit the next president and CEO. A formal job posting will be released soon, and interested candidates may email resumes to ceosearch@smchamber.com.
In reflecting on her tenure, Kruger expressed appreciation for the opportunity to build relationships and represent the Chamber in the community while focusing on membership needs and sustainable business growth.
“It has been an honor to serve this unique and vibrant city,” Kruger said. “I look forward to continuing my support for our local businesses and city leaders as I transition into this next chapter of government affairs and advocacy work.”
