405 Freeway To Close In Both Directions For Four Nights Starting Tonight:

Both directions of the San Diego (405) Freeway will be closed overnight in Long Beach for four nights starting tonight.

The construction site is at Temple Avenue, which is between Cherry Avenue and Lakewood Boulevard, Caltrans officials said. That’s adjacent to Long Beach Airport.

Lanes will begin closing on the 405 starting at 8 p.m., tonight through Thursday nights, with full closures in both directions scheduled to be in effect by midnight.

Northbound lanes should reopen  at 4 a.m., Tuesday through Friday mornings, with southbound lanes coming back up at 5 a.m.

Part of a damaged overpass is to be demolished and replaced in a $2.5 million repair.
