Suspected Drunk Driver Strikes Vehicle, Crashes Into Wall In West Los Angeles:

A suspected drunk driver struck another vehicle and then crashed into a wall, injuring his passenger, the other driver and himself, authorities said today.

The incident occurred at 11:19 p.m. Sunday at Overland Avenue and Palms Boulevard, said Sgt. L. Sandor of the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division.

The vehicle driven by the allegedly impaired motorist first hit another car, then crashed into a wall, Sandor said.

The passenger of the DUI driver was critically injured, he said. The DUI driver and the driver of the vehicle he struck were reported to have suffered lesser injuries.

All were transported to hospitals, Sandor said. The suspected DUI driver will be booked after he is treated.
