During the last two basketball seasons Noah Gottlieb became the fifth-leading scorer in Santa Monica College history and made all-Western State Conference both times.
In addition, he started at guard for the United States Maccabiah Games team last summer in Rome.
On November 24, the former Venice High star will begin his four-year college career as Chaminade College of Honolulu takes on No.-1-ranked North Carolina in the Maui Invitational.
The game will be nationally televised by ESPNU, a premium channel in Time Warner Cable’s system, available locally on Channel 251.
Chaminade will be a considerable underdog. Win or lose, the team will play two more games in the tournament, which annually draws scouts from most NBA teams.
Gottlieb made his Chaminade debut November 7 in an exhibition game loss to Hawaii. He played about half the game and had eight points and five assists.
