Palisades Begins Tough League Schedule:

The Palisades High boys basketball team has a difficult annual task – trying to succeed in the rugged Western League.

The Dolphins’ league opponents include Westchester, a team highly ranked nationally, and Fairfax, which frequently matches Westchester and currently has highly regarded center Rinardo Sidney.

It will not be an upset if Westchester and Fairfax reach the L.A. City playoff championship game.

Against such formidable opposition, Palisades frequently competes well. The Dolphins have a 6-2 record this season in non-league play.

Palisades, defending champion of the December Beverly Hills Tournament, finished fifth in the event this season. The Dolphins defeated Palos Verdes, Beverly Hills, and West Ranch, but lost a second round game to Crespi.
