Palisades Falls To Fourth Place:

The Palisades High boys basketball team has fallen into fourth place in the Western League, which puts its playoff hopes into jeopardy.

In its two most recent games Palisades came close to an upset, but lost to powerhouse Fairfax, 84-83, then lost to Venice, 71-60.

Renardo Sidney, Fairfax’ 6-foot-11 center, scored 38 points. Sidney is one of the top recruits in the nation, and has UCLA high on his list if he can qualify academically.

Fairfax has split its two meetings with Westchester, with both winning on the opponent’s court. University is currently in third place.
