Calling all moms! Calling all dads! You can be certified by your children as the best parents ever this summer by enrolling them in Penmar Recreation Center’s Summer Sports Camp. The chance for your children to play safely all day and take exciting field trips is just a phone call away. Enjoy a relaxing summer season by enrolling your children in a fun, healthy, sports related camp that lets the kids have the best summer imaginable. The camp specializes in a wide array of sports such as baseball, football, soccer, basketball and swimming. The campers will also participate in other fun activities such as arts and crafts, camp songs, and field trips. During the months of July and August, the summer nutrition program will provide free, healthy lunches for all the kids at the camp. Snacks and juice will be provided throughout the entire summer free of charge as well. (Campers may choose to bring a sack lunch if they so desire, although it is not required.)In addition to the sports and activities, Penmar has gone to great lengths to create a field trip schedule most kids would dream about. This summer, in addition to many other adventures, campers will be taking supervised field trips to Universal Studios, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Raging Waters, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, and even a Los Angeles Dodgers game.Fr those that like the water, recreational swimmers will be supervised at the Venice High Swimming pool on Tuesdays and Fridays.Juan Guzman, the director of Penmar Recreation Center is especially excited about this years annual overnight camping trip. Accompanied by a certified park ranger, the campers will get to explore Decker Canyon and participate in campsite activities.”The fied trips ar amazing, but whats most rewarding is providing a positive safe summer experience for all the Penmar community.”This camp has everything a parent and child could possibly ask for this summer. It provides a closely supervised, safe environment with exciting and adventurous field trips and activities for all ages. Penmar has been serving the families of local communities for decades, and strives to make every day a good memory. This summer will be no different as the camp will continue to bring smiles to the faces of children as far as the eye can see.
