Pacifica Christian Completes Successful Debut Season:

Pacifica Christian, located at 18th and Wilshire in Santa Monica, has completed a highly successful debut into high school baseball.

The school, which has fielded quality basketball and volleyball teams, won the Mulholland League baseball championship with an 11-1 record, went 13-4 overall and won a first round CIF Division 7 playoff game before being eliminated by Cate High of Carpinterea, 9-3.

The majority of Coach Julian Chavez’ players were freshmen.

Keenan Pierandozzi-howes batted .556, followed by Kevin Hammer (.468), David Hammer (.462), Austin Wilson (,413), Zack McMillan (.400), Max Staley (.356) and Atlen Shelp (.355)

Next season Pacifica Christian will move to the Heritage League which was won this season by Milken.

In another CIF playoff game involving an area team the Brentwood softball team lost its second round Division 7 playoff game to Saddleback Valley Christian, 11-7.
