Loyola’s Songco Off To Fast Pro Start:

Outfielder Mario Songco, the Dodgers’ fourth round choice in the recent baseball draft out of Loyola Marymount University is off to a fast start in professional baseball.

Playing at Ogden, Utah, Songco hit a home run in his first game and another in his second.

Songco, who drew the attention of Dodger scout Bobby Darwin at Loyola, bats lefthanded and throws righthanded. He’s 6-foot, 190 pounds.
