Will Freedman, who played on Coach James Hecht’s Santa Monica High basketball teams from 2003 to 2005, has overcome a torn ACL to become an all-conference player at Cal State East Bay (formerly Hayward).Fredman was voted the conference’s top freshman before suffering the injury. He redshirted the next year but last year the team won its conference and played in the NAIA Tournament in Missouri as Will was voted all-conference.In the upcoming season Cal State East Bay will play in NCAA Division 2 and will be on a level with Cal State Dominguez Hills, Los Angeles, Riverside and Pomona.
