The Circus has come to town in the form of this legendary Quebec-based acrobatic circus, now in its 25th year. There are no elephants but there will be plenty of thrills.

If you have good walking shoes and curiosity, you’ll enjoy this daylong event, in which local artists and craftspersons open their studios and shops for the public to see them at work. In addition to checking out all the artists who work on Pico, you can dig the accidental sculptures of the vintage car show at the SGI parking lot, and help yourself to food, music, and kids’ activities at Virginia Avenue Park.

APB: Big Mac Wack. – On Wednesday, July 13, at 6:22 a.m. an officer of the Santa Monica Police Department, who was on patrol in the Lincoln Boulevard area, spotted two women and a man who appeared to be involved in some kind of altercation at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Ocean Park Boulevard.
