Cummins To Talk About Education Saturday:

Paul F. Cummins, co-founder of Crossroads and New Roads Schools, will discuss his book, Proceed with Passion: Engaging Students in Meaningful Education, written with Anna Cummins and Emily Cummins, on Saturday, March 5, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Montana Avenue Branch Library, 1704 Montana Avenue.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author and UCLA professor Jared Diamond said, “As a parent of children studying in a school founded by Paul Cummins, I have observed at first hand the reasons why he is a unique asset to American education. Into this book, he has distilled both the passion and the careful reasoning behind his successes.”

Cummins is now the Executive Director of the New Visions Foundation, a non-profit educational organization, which is developing innovative ways to bring first-rate education to underserved children.

A book sale and signing will follow the program. For more information, call the Library at (310) 458-8600, or visit the Library website at www.smpl.org.
