ESPNU Brings Celebrities, Cameras and Crowds to Courts for Basketball Game: Top HS Basketball Recruits Take Over Venice Beach

ESPNU had their camera crews ready for the high-flying spectacle of the top junior and senior high school basketball recruits in the country this past weekend. Under Armour and Boost Mobile sponsored the Elite 24 Basketball weekend, filled with skills and slam dunk contests on Friday and a high-scoring game on Saturday.

No. 1 recruit (according to ESPNU 100 Rankings) senior small forward Shabazz Muhammed from Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Aquille Carr (Baltimore, Md.) were Co-MVP’s of the white team in a losing effort while Kyle Anderson, senior power forward from St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.) and shooting guard Justin Anderson from Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) were the MVP’s of the purple team, who won the contest 142-132.
