Santa Monica Conservatory of Music To Host Free Concert This Saturday: Inaugural Concert For Early Childhood Music Education

John Redfield, Alena Bernardi, and the Santa Monica Conservatory of Music will host its first annual Early Childhood Music Fall Concert, open to the public at no charge, this Saturday Oct. 29 at 4 p.m.

The free event will include a performance by current conservatory students in the Early Childhood Education Program followed by a tour of the center.

The event is designed to introduce children to the piano, violin, viola, and cello, as well as best vocal practices for those interested in singing.

Children will have the opportunity to learn about and play any or all of these instruments under the guidance of the Conservatory’s seasoned professors.

“Our faculty is made up of seasoned performers, some who play regularly with the LAPhil, dedicated to passing along their refined skill sets to the next generation of musicians,” said John Redfield, Founder Santa Monica Conservatory of Music. “Our first concert event will allow community members and their children to access this wealth of knowledge, as our professors will be giving hands-on introduction of various musical instruments to any interested guest. We’re proud of the programs we’ve created and look forward to presenting our first concert to the community.”

It will be held at the Santa Monica Conservatory of Music located at 1501a Colorado Avenue, Santa Monica.
