Santa Monica Live Theater On Stage Through September 20:

The Promenade Playhouse presents “LORCAbaret,” a parade of human bestiary that evokes Lorca’s state of mind in America; with a strong visual impact on racial, sexual, social, and economic discrimination. Sideways The Play. Adapted by Rex Pickett from his own novel, is the story of two friends – Miles and Jack – and their journey across the Santa Ynez wine country, on one last blowout trip before Jack gets married. Miles and Jack must face their uncertain futures…just as soon as they figure out how to survive their chaotic present. Pinot Tasting included. Last of the Knotts. The semi-autobiographical, solo show written and performed by poet/hipster Doug Knott and produced by Meadowbrook Entertainment, will be staged at Santa Monica Playhouse’s The Other Space Theatre with the final performance Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. Doug endures a childhood of severe abuse by his alcoholic father, a Florida judge obsessed with his own legacy. An Oz-Some Experience for All Ages. Santa Monica Playhouse Musical Matinee Series presents the internationally acclaimed Dorothy’s Adventures In Oz.
