$200K Reward For Info On $10 Million Santa Monica Home Heist:

Several of the paintings stolen from the Santa Monica residence between Sept. 12-14 while the victim was away on a trip.

Thieves robbed a Santa Monica residence of more than $10 million of property including a red 2010 Porsche Carrera 4S, high-end art, and luxury watches while the victim was away on a trip last week.

An assistant for the victim told The Mirror a $200,000 no questions asked reward was being offered for information leading to the recovery of these stolen items and urged anyone with information to contact police.

The LA Times reports that leading bond-fund manager Jeffrey Gundlach, founder of DoubleLine Capital in Los Angeles, was the victim. SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis said he could not confirm the identity of the victim, citing privacy.

Santa Monica police say the burglary happened sometime between last Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 3 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. in the residence on the 500 block of 12th Street in the north of Montana neighborhood.

Lewis said $10 million was a conservative estimate and the value was expected to be much higher.

Lewis said the high-end paintings had the highest value, including a Piet Mondrian painting worth millions of dollars alone.

Two wooden box art pieces were stolen from various rooms throughout the home. The victim’s Porsche, which was parked in the garage, was also stolen.

The victim’s expensive watch collection was also taken that included luxury brands Glashutte, Breitling, TAG Heuer, Philip Patek, and A. Lange & Sohne.

Forty bottles of rare fine wine estimated at $100,000 and a small amount of US Currency were also stolen, Lewis said.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the burglary or the suspects involved can contact Detective David Haro at 310.458.8432 or Sergeant Henry Ramirez at 310.458.8453 or the Santa Monica Police Department (24 hours) at 310.458.8495.
