Santa Monica police arrested a 24-year-old man on Saturday, Dec. 8 for threatening to kill his mother and slashing his mother’s tires.
At 1:02 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to a family disturbance in the 2600 block of 23rd Street.
When the officers arrived they spoke with the victim, who was the mother of the suspect.
She told them that they had been arguing all day and that her son had also been leaving her threatening text messages on her cell, or smart phone.
She added that she had witnessed her son slash the tires on her car as well.
The officers got hold of this son outside the location and after completing their investigation the officers arrested the son for threatening to kill his mother.
The officers also recovered the knife that the son had used to slash his mother’s tires from inside the apartment.
This son, a Culver City resident was charged with criminal threats and his bail was set at $50,000.
