Defensive lineman Henry Flores of Santa Monica High was named MVP of the Gridiron War prep all-star football game Saturday night at Long Beach City College.
Flores had three sacks for the West in a 21-6 victory over the East.Flores was selected over running back Rickie Collins of Crenshaw, who gained 72 yards.
Starting in the next few weeks, more than 1,200 kids at the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club and the Mar Vista Family Center in Culver City will be provided free breakfast and lunch.
