Samohi’s Foley Named All-CIF In Softball:

On a talented, successful Santa Monica High softball team, Christine Foley has been identified by the CIF as the key player.

Foley, a junior, was named to the All-CIF Division 3 second team, the only Viking singled out after the team went undefeated in the Ocean League.

Foley benefited from Coach Debbie Skaggs’ mid-season position changes, moving from third base to catcher.

After going 10-0 in the league, the Vikings won one playoff game before losing in the second round, matching their record of a year ago.In Division 6, freshman pitcher Logan Kinsey of Brentwood and teammate Kristina Schuman, a senior outfielder, were selected to the second team.
