An intoxicated 25-year-old Santa Monica man was arrested Thursday, April 4 after returning to his apartment after a night out and injuring his girlfriend during an argument.
At 11:51 pm officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to the 1300 block of 12th Street in order to investigate a domestic violence incident.

The young woman appeared very upset, evidenced by tears streaming from her eyes as she cried.
The officers spoke with this young woman who told them she lived in an apartment in the complex with her boyfriend.
She continued to explain that earlier in the evening the boyfriend had returned home accompanied by a friend, and added that the boyfriend was intoxicated.
She said they had begun to argue and that the boyfriend had pushed her backwards.
This act had caused her to hit a divider and then to fall down to the ground, causing a laceration to her arm.
The officers subsequently found the boyfriend and arrested him.
