Venice Boulevard To Close Sunday For CicLAvia:

Los Angeles will celebrate its sixth CicLAvia on Sunday,  transforming more than 15 miles of normally congested streets into a car-free, linear park for walking, biking, playing, and experiencing the city from a new perspective.

This is not a bicycle-only event, but rather designed for people of all interests, is free of charge, and is open to every kind of non-automotive transit imaginable.

There is no start or finish point – participants can join CicLAvia anywhere along the route from 10 am to 3 pm.

Since it began in 2010, CicLAvia has become Los Angeles County’s most popular public event, consistently attracting more than 100,000 participants.

Venice Boulevard will be closed to car traffic in both directions from Alvarado Street to Crenshaw Boulevard.

From Crenshaw Boulevard in Mid-City to Grand Boulevard in Venice Beach, Venice Boulevard will be closed to westbound car traffic only.

The south side of Venice Boulevard will be open to eastbound traffic. A wide median separates the westbound and eastbound lanes.
