Former Santa Monica Airport Director Joins American Airports Corporation:

Former Santa Monica Airport director Robert Trimborn, who left the position after 17 years last month on June 28, has joined American Airports Corporation to further the development of their growing portfolio of airport and fixed base operations (FBO’s).

Trimborn has more than 30 years of airport management experience.

As the City of Santa Monica’s Airport Director he managed one of the busiest and most high profile general aviation airports in the nation.

He was instrumental in establishing and implementing a myriad of industry-leading programs and initiatives.

Trimborn said he intends to continue his success within the airport industry with American Airports Corporation as its Director of Business Development to expand the company’s success in providing unparalleled airport and FBO management and services.

“I am excited to start a new challenge within American Airports Corporation and look forward to working to further develop their already extensive customer base,” Trimborn said. “I am fortunate to be joining such a respected company that prides itself on delivering top quality airport management services.”

David G. Price, Chairman & CEO said Trimborn’s wealth of airport management experience has already made him a key addition to the American Airports family.

“We view his appointment as a sign of our commitment to being the leading company in our industry,” Price said. “Our leading-edge management skills and the increasing demand led us to look for an addition to our team who will fit in with our commitment to innovation and exceptional service, and it is very fortunate that we were able to find someone of Bob’s caliber to fulfill this role. I’m confident that he will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality management and development solutions for our customers.”

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Santa Monica, American Airports Corporation is one of the largest general aviation airport management companies in the United States.

AAC also develops and owns individual aviation facilities and fixed base operator facilities.

American Airports provides a comprehensive program for development, operations and ownership of aviation-related projects and FBO operations by focusing on underutilized assets and offering aviation property owners the opportunity for increased returns on their assets, improved efficiencies and expanded economic opportunities.
