Jerry Rubin Still Rockin’ For Peace On 70th Birthday:

Celebrate Jerry Rubin's 70th Birthday today from 6-11 pm at Rusty's Surf Ranch.

A 70th birthday celebration will be held for Jerry ‘Peace Activist’ Rubin today, Dec. 11 from 7 pm to 11 pm at Rusty’s Surf Ranch on The Santa Monica Pier.

The public is welcome to attend as the event will double as a benefit to save Paul Conrad’s “Chain Reaction” sculpture that’s located near the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

Doors open at 6 pm. The cost is $20 general admission at the door ($10 for low income residents). An optional $70 birthday gift donation is encouraged.

All proceeds will go towards the repair and restoration of the “Chain Reaction” sculpture.

Special guests will include Beatles tribute band “Ye Olde Beetles,” comedy by Rick Overton, actress Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas, “Breakfast With the Beatles” radio host Chris Carter, singer and actress Q’Orianka Kilcher, and actress Alexandra Paul of “Baywatch.”

This will be an all ages event. Reservations are appreciated but not mandatory.
