Marina Del Rey WaterBus Begins Operations Today:

The Marina del Rey WaterBus will begin its 2014 operations today, with its fleet of small boats shuttling passengers among eight stops around the harbor.

The WaterBus will operate from 11 a.m. to midnight Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays. The service will end on Labor Day, Sept. 1, when holiday service will be offered from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

A $1 fare will buy a passenger a one-way trip. The service has eight stops: Fisherman’s Village, Burton Chace Park, Waterfront Walk at Fire Station #110, Mothers Beach, Dolphin Marina, Esprit on Marquesas Way, Marina Harbor on Tahiti Way and Del Rey Landing at the end of Bora Bora Way.

Tickets can be purchased from attendants stationed at each stop.

Riders can also bring bikes and strollers aboard.
