No Injuries In 20th Century Fox Sound Stage Fire:

A fire broke out in a wooden storage locker in a sound stage at the 20th Century Fox lot in Century City on Friday, but no one was injured, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 6:56 p.m. inside Stage 6 at Fox Studios at 10201 W. Pico Blvd. and was knocked down by 7:13 p.m., said Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“It was reported as a small fire held in check by sprinklers,” Main said.

The flames extended into the structure’s attic, she said.

Fire department personnel were assisting controlling the water from the sprinklers, Main said.

Eighty-three firefighters responded to the blaze, the cause of which was under investigation, Main said.
