Slow-Speed Police Pursuit From Westwood To Beverly Hills Ends With Arrest:

A woman who led officers on a slow-speed “pursuit” in an SUV from Westwood to Beverly Hills was taken into custody today.

Officers began following the SUV because it was being driven recklessly about 12:40 p.m. near Wilshire Boulevard and Glendon Avenue, and they tried to pull it over, according to Los Angeles police Officer Bruce Borihanh of the Media Relations office.

The motorist refused to stop and kept going east on Wilshire at a very slow speed, eventually stopping about a half-hour later near San Vicente Boulevard.

After a brief standoff, officers pulled the woman from the vehicle and took her into custody for questioning. Police were trying to determine of the woman was intoxicated or if she was suffering from a medical condition, Borihanh said.
