Paramedics responded to a reported drowning at Venice Beach on Wednesday afternoon, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman stated just before 2:45 pm that paramedics were responding to reports of a drowning at the Rose Avenue lifeguard tower near the 200 block of Ocean Front Walk.
However the department confirmed just before 4 pm that the report of the drowning was a false alarm.
