Pacific Park Welcomes New Food & Beverage Director:

Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier welcomes Paul Garnica as Food and Beverage Director for the two-acre amusement park.

“We feel very fortunate to have hired a food and beverage director with Paul’s caliber and experience,” said Jeff Klocke, Vice President of Marketing and Administration at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier. “Pacific Park has a very unique food and beverage operation and we look to his leadership in taking our guest experience to the next level.”

Garnica was Director of Operations with the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2008 through 2012 and Director of Concessions at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles from 2004 through 2008.

Garnica began at STAPLES Center with Aramark as General Manager from 1999 through 2004. He has also worked with the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, the Ontario International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.

“Pacific Park’s oceanfront food court with six food units has a layout with enormous potential for enhanced food and beverage offerings, all while sitting 40 feet over the Pacific Ocean,” said Garnica. “This is the type of challenge that I excel at and have built a very successful career on executing new initiatives and administering daily operations. I look forward to my time at Pacific Park.”

Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier’s six outlets include Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Harbor Grill, Pizza Hut Express, Taco Bell, Scoops – Ice Cream & Treats, and Funnel Cake Factory.

Multiple themed food carts are also located throughout the Park with traditional amusement park favorites such as hot popcorn, fresh spun cotton candy, hot pretzels, delicious churros, Dippin’ Dots ice cream, ICEES and assorted drinks.

Garnica comes to Pacific Park most recently from Levy Restaurants, LLC where he worked as Regional Manager throughout California and Reno, Nev., from 2012 through 2013 while successfully managing more than seven operations including Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles; Our Lady of Cathedral in Los Angeles; Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif.; Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.; Sacramento Kings Arena in Sacramento, Calif.; Reno Aces, AAA Baseball, in Reno, Nev.; and Reno Convention Center in Reno, Nev., which included the Livestock Center, Bowling Stadium, Event Center and Convention Center.

Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, LA’s only admission free amusement park, offers 12 amusement rides, 14 midway games, an oceanfront food plaza and retail shops.

In addition to the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel, the Pacific Wheel, Pacific Park’s signature rides include The West Coaster, a steel roller coaster that races 55 feet above the Santa Monica Bay; and Inkie’s Air Lift Balloon Ride, the high-flying, family-sharing kids’ ride.
