VIDEO: The In-N-Out Effect On The Westside:

Traffic spills out into the streets at the In-N-Out in Westwood - a phenomenon seen at most locations on the Westside.

Let’s say someone is driving through Westwood after a dentist appointment, and if they’re anything like the average L.A. resident, they’ll know that Westwood is full of amazing food: In-N-Out, Fat Sal’s, Chick-Fil-A, everything delicious that will undo all of the effort their dentist has just expended to make their teeth look nice!

So they to the In-N-Out drive-thru on Gayley, and that’s when they see it: a line of cars spilling out into the street, past the jurisdiction of the restaurant’s actual drive-thru.

This causes a disruption of traffic and what is known as “The In-N-Out effect.”
