Voting is Not Enough – Racial Justice Workshop in Santa Monica:

Virginia Avenue Park

Do you feel represented in the decision making that impacts your daily life?

The August 7th Committee For Racial Justice workshop will feature a distinguished panel of leaders in Santa Monica who will discuss with the audience why it’s especially important for communities of color to take civic engagement seriously. Voting in elections is certainly important, but there are many additional ways to have input into the ideas and priorities that shape our common life together.

You might consider running for office or becoming active in a local community group.
