The Santa Monica 8U Gold All-Star girls softball team took second place in the Jessica Mendoza All-Star Tournament in Camarillo last weekend.
The team is made up of girls ages six through eight, who have only been playing together as a team for a little over a month. The team’s head coach, Pablo Ramos, is understandably very proud of this team: “This group of girls has been continuously working hard day in and day out; as coaches we could only try to prepare them to play a game, the rest is up to them. They have taken up the challenge while still having fun. My staff and I couldn’t be happier.”
