Coast Guard Recognizes Santa Monica Police’s Harbor Unit:

The United States Coast Guard presented the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) Harbor Unit with an award recognizing their service and vigilance on Wednesday. On the plaque, the engraved “semper paratus” meaning “always ready” shone through the sunlit room as a sign of excellence. “On behalf of the Santa Monica police department, we are extremely proud of our harbor unit, and are appreciative of the United States Coast Guard for recognizing the quality of work that we’ve had for over fifty years with them,” said SMPD Lieutenant Saul Rodriguez.
