The Mirror has learned that New Roads School is merging its Middle School with Odyssey Middle School in Malibu. The Odyssey property is in Las Flores Canyon, on three usable acres (out of a seventeen total acres). After the merger, the school will become the second New Roads Middle School campus, with approximately 50-60 kids. The Lincoln Blvd. location will continue to operate, making a total of about 160 middle school kids on the two sites.Because this unexpected merger has happened after admissions season is over and acceptance letters have been mailed out, applications are now being accepted for the 2006-2007 school year. Open houses are being scheduled. For more information, contact odyssey@newroads.org or 310.587.2255
