National Hero Dog Award Nominations:

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles is now accepting nominations for its 24th Annual spcaLA National Hero Dog Award. The award recognizes heroic acts performed by dogs to protect and/or save people. The act must have occurred in 2005.

All nominations must include a short essay of 100 words or less describing the act as well as a name, address and phone number. The act must be verifiable. Nominations are due by May 1.
