Phil Brock travels from Santa Monica to Arroyo Grande, California to meet with Jerry Rutiz of Rutiz Family Farms. You may recognize Rutiz Family Farm from the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market. They are enthusiastic about their leafy greens, broccoli, potatoes and other produce, all of which they grow themselves. Although they do not have an organic certification, Jerry Rutiz assures Brock that they only use organic fertilizer, but skip on the usage of pesticides.
