Big Blue Bus Modified Holiday Service

In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, Big Blue Bus will operate modified bus schedules from November 25 – December 1.

Monday, November 25 – Wednesday, November 27

Buses operate on a regular weekday schedule with the following exceptions:

Palisades High and Paul Revere Middle School Riders:

  • Route 9: Northbound trip at 7:13 a.m. to Pacific Palisades and southbound trip at 2:33 p.m. to Santa Monica cancelled.
  • Route 14: Southbound trip at 3:22 p.m. to Playa Vista cancelled.

Thanksgiving Day (November 28)

  • Buses operate on a Sunday schedule.
  • Rapids 3, 7 and 10, and Routes 5, 15, 16, 42, 43, and 44:Not in service.
  • Hilgard Terminal is closed.
  • Routes 1, 2, and 8: Serve Charles E. Young/P2 Hub. See below for alternate boarding locations.
  • Route 17: Serves Charles E. Young/P2 Hub as usual.
  • Rapid 12 and Route 18: Serve Gateway Plaza as usual.

Friday after Thanksgiving Day (November 29)

Buses operate on a regular weekday schedule with the following exceptions:

Palisades High and Paul Revere Middle School Riders:

  • Route 9: Northbound trip at 7:13 a.m. to Pacific Palisades and southbound trip at 2:33 p.m. to Santa Monica cancelled.
  • Route 14: Southbound trip at 3:22 p.m. to Playa Vista cancelled.

SMC Riders:

  • Route 44: Not in service. 

 UCLA Riders: 

Hilgard Terminal is closed. 

  • Routes 1, 2, and 8: Serve Charles E. Young/P2 Hub. 
  • Route 17: Serves Charles E. Young/P2 Hub as usual.
  • Rapid 12 and Route 18: Serve Gateway Plaza as usual.

Saturday, November 30

Buses operate on a normal Saturday schedule.

Alternate Boarding Information for UCLA customers

To UCLA

Routes 1, 2, 8, and 17 serve Charles E. Young/P2 Hub. Please disembark at the following stops:

  • NB Westwood Blvd. at Weyburn Ave.
  • NB Westwood Plaza at Jules Stein Eye Center
  • Charles E. Young/P2 Hub

Please note the following stop closures:

  • NB Westwood Blvd. at Le Conte Ave.
  • EB Le Conte Ave. at Tiverton Dr.
  • NB Hilgard Ave. at Manning Ave. and Westholme Ave.
  • Hilgard Terminal

To Santa Monica

Due to the closure of Hilgard Terminal, service on Routes 1, 2, 8, and 17 begins at Charles E. Young/P2 Hub. You may also board at the following stop:

  • SB Hilgard Ave. at Westholme Ave.

The Transit Store and Customer Service will be closed Thanksgiving Day (November 28) through December 1. Regular hours resume on Monday, December 2.
