Gidon Kremer, November 19, 7pm

A technically brilliant musician, Gidon Kremer is also one of the premier violinists in the world today. This Riga, Latvia native comes from an impressive lineage of classical musicians. Both his parents were symphony violinists and his grandfather, Georg Brucker, concertmaster of the Riga Opera, is credited with having guided the development of what was then a remarkable sixteen-year-old prodigy. He is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory where he studied under legendary violinist David Oistrakh. In concert, Mr. Kremer is truly a site to behold.
