One person was killed in a six-vehicle crash on the 10 Freeway in Santa Monica Wednesday night, the second fatality to occur on the freeway in Santa Monica this week.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred around 10 p.m. Wednesday on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Centinela Avenue.
Details of what led to the crash, which occurred in the eastbound lanes, have not yet been released by the CHP as of Thursday evening.
As described by “Eye in the Sky” news reporter and cameraman Desmond Shaw, “Santa Monica fire tried to extricate [the victim] from [a] mangled Honda but it was too late.”
