On Friday, December 15, 2006, the Santa Monica Police Department will be conducting a Driver’s License/Sobriety Checkpoint in the 1200 block of Ocean Avenue. “During the Holiday Season, incidents of alcohol-related traffic collisions increase significantly. The goal of the Santa Monica Police Department in conducting this checkpoint is to reduce the number of alcohol-involved traffic collisions in the City,” said the SMPD.
