Popular Santa Monica Restaurant Adds Happy Hour

Early Birdie’s Happy Hour arrives at Birdie G’s

Birdie G’s in Santa Monica (2421 Michigan Ave) has added Early Birdie’s Happy Hour to their line-up. It happens every day from 5-6 p.m. only in The Bird’s Nest or Birdie G’s bar and lounge.

Chef/Partner Jeremy Fox and Chef de Cuisine Matthew Schaler have created a menu of “a variety of wildly creative and comforting bar snacks” with special prices on drinks. The snacks cost anywhere between $5 to $15 dollars and include new dishes like “Whipped Avocado with Fried Matzo (like a Jewish spin on guac & chips), Vernors-Baked Ham & Pickled Melon like prosciutto e melone, but Birdie G’s-style, Kippered Sable Terrine with Crispy Potato Waffles, THREE kinds of fries (Reuben Fries, Caesar Fries and Fries & Aioli), those addictive Lavender Almonds.”

If you are a little hungrier and want more of a full meal, you can order Birdie G’s classic, Half Fried Pickle Chick, or try the brand new Kishka Burger—a ¼ pounder of seared blood sausage, Hook’s Swiss, house-pickled cornichons, red onion & persimmon “comeback sauce” on a sesame pretzel bun. You can check out their menu here

The bar’s drink options are also intriguing as their press release informs us that “Bar Manager Stephanie Reading has a Chamomile Lavender Lemonade Mocktail for $4, seasonal $12 cocktails, like the Staycation Summer with lime, kumquat, strawberry brandy & tequila and $6 craft beer.  Sommelier Kobi Tsesarsky has assembled a variety of planet-friendly, $12 glasses of wine.”
