The City of Santa Monica is collaborating with Right To Be to provide a virtual bystander intervention training for the community on Monday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m.
This initiative is part of the city’s commemoration of United Against Hate Week. The training aims to empower community members to proactively combat hate and intolerance. This training is offered at no cost, is open to all, and will equip participants with the necessary tools to intervene safely when witnessing harassment in public spaces. Due to limited space, registration is mandatory.

Additionally, the city will join LA vs Hate in recognizing United Against Hate Week from November 12 to November 18. This week serves as a reminder that creating a safe and inclusive environment is a collective effort within the community.
The City Council will issue a proclamation in support of United Against Hate Week and Los Angeles County’s LA vs Hate campaign during the council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
