Sweet Lady Jane’s Flagship Bakery in Santa Monica Set to Reopen After Brief Closure

New Owners Julie Ngu and Matt Clark Bringing Beloved Bakery Back (Again)

The new owners of Sweet Lady Jane, Julie Ngu, and Matt Clark, really meant it when they said that they were working with the County of Los Angeles to reopen the flagship bakery in Santa Monica on Montana Avenue after it was closed on Wednesday of last week.

In a late-breaking development, around 8:00 p.m. on Monday night, Sweet Lady Jane announced that the location would reopen as of Tuesday, March 12. Sweet Lady Jane’s Instagram page posted this message, “You are what you eat, so only eat the best. 

Santa Monica: We’re back (again.) Doors open at 7:30 a.m.

Beverly Hills: 10:00 a.m.

Encino: 9:00 a.m.

After the surprising shutdown of the bakery’s Santa Monica location, people were disappointed, but the bakery pivoted to provide free delivery in a five-mile radius last week and over the weekend.
