As of Saturday, the LADWP reports that their crews have completed over 5,000 repairs in the Palisades area to restore pressure to the area and have fully refilled the three, one-million gallon tanks serving the higher elevations.

Authorities urge the public to remain cautious as fire crews and utility workers continue their efforts in the area. Key safety guidelines include:

  • Avoid any downed power lines and report them immediately to Edison.
  • Be prepared for power outages upon returning home and follow generator safety protocols if using backup power.
  • Treat trees and poles with deep charring or smoldering as hazardous.

Traffic control measures remain in place, and residents are reminded to adhere to all road closures and evacuation warnings.

Fire crews and utility teams will remain in affected areas to address fire-related hazards, restore utilities, and reinforce infrastructure.
