Locals’ Night Returns to The Pier on Thursday with Reggae, Classic Cars and Community Festivities

The free event offers a vibrant mix of live music, family activities, local vendors, and a classic car showcase

The Santa Monica Pier will come alive with reggae rhythms and community spirit on Thursday, September 18, as the popular Locals’ Night series returns for its new season.

The free event, presented by Pacific Park, runs from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and offers a vibrant mix of live music, family activities, local vendors, and a classic car showcase, all designed to celebrate the Santa Monica community.

Part of the Third Thursday at the Pier initiative, Locals’ Night is open to all and aims to bring together residents and visitors through entertainment and experiences curated by and for the community. The evening will feature a reggae-themed lineup, including live performances by Junor Francis (4:30–6 p.m.), Blaze Mob (6:30–7:30 p.m.), and Quinto Sol (8–9:30 p.m.), hosted by Syrus Yarbrough. A live DJ, Devil-Los, will spin tracks on the main parking deck from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., where a classic car club showcase and pop-up booths from local creators, City partners, and Pier attractions will also be featured.

Family-friendly activities include musical storytime sessions by Books & Cookies at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the carousel, alongside an educational pop-up from Heal the Bay Aquarium. The event encourages early arrival to explore the offerings and support local businesses.

The Pier, located at 200 Santa Monica Pier, Suite A, is accessible by rideshare, Metro, bus, or bike.
